Thanksgiving is in a few days. Today I thought I would suggest a great books for kids that tells the story from a different perspective. Joseph Bruchac is a celebrated author who has written many books about Native Americans. His book Squanto's Journey gives us a new way to appreciate Thanksgiving. It is a great read aloud and is nicely illustrated. It is also great for a beginning reader.
I love to recommend titles that will enhance an appreciation of our past. Enjoy!
